Mission
Our God-given VISION: that Jesus Christ will be glorified in His Deaf Church and enjoyed by them as they walk in barefoot humility in His Highway.
Our God-given MISSION:
- Living Discipleship in the intimacy of our Living Master. Walking barefoot with people in the scrutiny of The Word through the valley of the shadow of death and while there, introducing them by word and action to the intimacy of their Living Master Who leads them beside quiet waters and green pastures. Living Discipleship is DYNAMIC and it’s DIRTY… Christ Jesus having HIS way in us, which may lead down to the corner… or up to Calvary. NO MATTER.Living Discipleship involves relationship with teaching from the pure meat of the Word.
- Vibrant Teaching of God’s full counsel which builds a Kingdom worldview that will sustain and strengthen faith in the fullness of Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit in the grace of His Truth.
- Bold Loving that is active, contrite, and pervasive. Going and doing unto others as Christ Jesus has done unto you. We love because He first loved us.
OUR LIVING GOALS DURING THE 2007-2010 TERM.
- To continue growing in all aspects in Christ’s full stature.
- Setting our God-given Vision and Mission “off the paper” so our Feet Meet Street.
- Maintaining meaningful and timely communications with our Friends in Ministry.
Sub-Goals as the Lord Permits:
• Helping the Deaf build at least one active, self-sustaining and vibrant deaf church with real Deaf leadership.
• Helping establish opportunities with the Deaf, for the Deaf, in sign language acquiring, general education and livelihood training skills with an eye at duplicating the application/approach to other worldwide Deaf Churches.
• Building loving, working, and learning relationships between other Christ-centered, Bible-believing hearing and/or signing churches and foreign missions groups working in or having the Lord’s interest in Philippines’ Deaf Ministry to encourage and help establish self-sustainable Deaf Ministries and Missions. The purpose being to duplicate Christ-centered efforts, where appropriate, and not to “re-invent the wheel” simply due to disagreements on distinctives that are not related to salvific fundamentals.
• Helping to co-ordinate at least one “longterm” Medical Missions/Childcare Community/Evangelistic Team in a high-priority area for otitus media, unpotable water, and significant deaf populations.
• Hosting at least one states-side missions team.
• All and anything our Lord, Himself, by His Blessed Spirit, would indicate to us in His Wisdom including, but not limited to, a complete reversal of everything laid out in these sub-goals without prejudice.
